Features

The ResMed chin strap keeps your mouth closed when using a nasal mask or nasal pillow for CPAP therapy. The pressure delivered by your sleep apnea therapy device may cause your mouth to open, especially if you are prescribed a higher setting.

Air leaks significantly reduce the effects of your prescribed CPAP therapy, causing you to wake up with a dry mouth, feeling tired and needing more rest. Other options to consider to eliminate mouth breathing would be to try a full-face CPAP mask that covers the nose and mouth. Waking up with a dry mouth may be an indicator that your mouth is opening during sleep.
